Welding Safety
and Health
Course
Description:
This course
enables students to identify and inspect various types
of welding and cutting and processes. Participants learn
the History of welding safety and health in the United
States, the basics of welding and cutting process, the
origin of potential health hazards such as radiation,
noise, fumes, and gases, the nature and magnitude, method
of measuring, control, and effect on the body of the
hazards will be discussed. Safety aspects of the welding
process are examined such as handling gas cylinders,
regulators, hoses and connections, proper storage, fire
protection and housekeeping.

are used for group discussion and learning.
* Demonstrations of Personal Protective equipment.
* Each Student will receive:

Materials Binder, Which is the AWS (American Welding
Society) Safety and health Manual publications,
Manufacturers technical data, and selected AWS
publications including the OSHA Welding Standards.

completion certificate.
